INTERCOLLEGATE OUTING CLUB ASSOCIATION SPRING CONFERENCE - April 23-25, 2010 Spring conference is a great time for all. It is a time for members from outing clubs all over the Northeast to get together and spend time with nature. You will get to see a lot of new as well as old faces while exploring new places. If you have never been to Spring Conference before, you don’t know what you are missing out on. It is going to be a fun weekend for everyone. Special Events to look forward to… Square Dancing Saturday Night; Smores around the campfire BBQ for all Saturday night Canoe or Kayak on a lake next to the campsite
Activities to do in the area: Hiking, biking, and rock climbing at the Mohonk Preserve Hiking in the Catskill Mountains (Slide Mountain isn’t a really hard hike and is the highest mountain in the Catskills) Rafting on the Esopus River Hiking and rock climbing in the Minewaska Preserve
Recommended Supplies: Tent and Sleeping Bag 3 sets of clothing (remember warm clothes for at night) Food for Breakfasts and Lunches (we will be providing Saturday night dinner) Mess kits preferred to reduce waste Lanterns, Cooking gear; Toiletries; Flashlight with extra batteries Optional Equipment: Bike, Canoe, Kayak, Rock Climbing Gear Facilities: We will be camping in a field. You'll need a tent and whatever you need for meals (other than Saturday dinner which we will provide). Water (bring a container) and sanitary facilities will be available nearby. Individual fires are not permitted. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at the Ashokan Center.

Registration You can register: as a group or as an individual. If you are coming with an Outing Club, they should register all together. If they are not officially organizing your club or you do not affiliate with a college outing club then register as an individual. The following information needs to be provided with each person registered: • Full name • College affiliated with (if any) • For a group, name of the group's main contact • Personal E-Mail Address • If a vegetarian, let us know so we can have alternatives available Saturday night. • If person is group contact, phone number Send this information in an email to conference@nccouting.org
