National Championship:
Dear Collegiate Canoeists, Kayakers & Outdoor Clubs,
We are proud to announce that American Canoe Association has finalized
the date to the Collegiate Canoe & Kayak National Championships.
When: October 10-11, 2009 - Columbus Day Weekend
Where: Fredericksburg, VA
Venue: Rappahannock River
Join the Virginia Outdoor Center and the American Canoe Association as
we host this event on the Rappahannock River. We are inviting collegiate
teams from all over the United States to come compete, including eastern
schools stretching from Michigan to Alabama.
These downriver races are for canoe and kayak racers in both whitewater
and flat-water, the fastest time from point A to B, wins. If your school
or program does not have access to canoes or kayaks, we will have extras
available at the race. Pre-registration is required and camping is
available on site. Remember that no specialized equipment is needed,
and there is no experience necessary. Although, the more skill your
team has increases your team's chance of winning a medal!
Please visit our website at www.americancanoe.org
<http://www.americancanoe.org/> and check out more race details under
'What We Do' / 'Competition' / 'Collegiate Championships'. Be on the
lookout for further information about registration, camping, and a
course map. Also, ACA has a Facebook Event Page (Collegiate Canoe &
Kayak National Championship) with pictures of past events.
If you have additional questions, please contact National Event Planning

both of the Championships. Please let me know how to go about adding our
event on to your calendar.
Thank you,
