+ Thursday 6th: KAYAK NIGHT @ CSC Shape Pool! - 8pm to 9:30pm (Learn or just play on our Boats!)

    We need six volunteers. Let me know if you are interested. We'll give you a snowmobile to use, fleece vests for volunteers, we'll feed you, and you'll get to hang out and have fun all day. We'll also have the wildest sledding run you've ever been on. Let me know if you are interested.

* What:
Snowshoe Marathon (7,200 feet of elevation change), Half Marathon, and 6 miler. Ten hour time limit.
	
* Location:
Riverside Farm, 57 Tweed River Drive, Second Driveway on your left. Look for the white barn and then follow the signs to the start/finish. We'll have a bonfire going early Saturday morning.

* Registration:
Saturday morning from 5:30-7:30 a.m. at the General Store in Pittsfield.
Race starts at 8:00 a.m.

* Post Race:
6:30pm athe the Aimee Farm

    * Lobster and shrimp dinner
    * Plenty of long trail beer!
    * Awards ceremony
    * Video presentation.

    * 6.55 mile loops. Trail (un-groomed) and snowmobile trails. Course will be marked with ribbons and signs. 
       Marathon - 4 loops. Half Marathon - 2 loops.
    * There's also a great one loop FUN RUN that's perfect for anyone wanting to try out snowshoing!

If you sign up, make strides to make it and you will not be disappointed! We have a good time as long as we work together and make it great for all. We put in a lot of effort to make these things happen for ALL & SA Money / School Transportation plays a big part.

-   We have been approved by SA for the$15,000 in new purchases of NEEDED gear for the OC and its chapters. This will also  
 include a new security system and log for the gear! This will allow us to secure a rental program once again... All parts are in
  the works as you read this and we THANK all parties in this approval process!  
   
 * Thus far we have NEW:
  -Sleds: Hammerhead Sleds -Tobaggon - Mad River Rockets (5 donated)
  -Ice & Mountaineering Crampons - (Boots are on the way)
  -Ice & Climbing Gear Assorted... (Helmets - Ice Screws - Slings - Dry Rope - Ice Axes)
  -White Water Kayaks (with gear) - Mad River Canoe (Explorer)
  -Sleeping Bags (-25 degree, 0 degree, 20 degree)
  -Back Packs (Both for women & men)
  -Quick Draws (climbing)
  -Safety & Learning devices for trips (Rescue 8 - others)
  -Ice & Mountaineering Boots (Most sizes)

* We are waiting on:
  -Snowshoes (MSR) + tails...
  -Stoves & accessories
  -Avalanche Probe 
  -Ascenders...
  -and more!!!    




-   We are talking to companies (Pro-Deals Discounts) and the school to get new improved gear for the club & its members!
