On April 23rd, 2005 (Sat) the Quest program at Bloomsburg University will
run its 5th consecutive Eco-Quest.  Eco-Quest is an all day adventure race
that consists of running, biking, and paddling.  You can sign up in teams of
two or four at $25 person.  You must provide all of your own equipment for
the race, however there will be limited boat rentals for those who contact
well in advance.  A refundable deposit is required if you want to rent a
kayak, checks only.  There will be a small festival held on upper campus
where prizes will be given out to competitors, and door prizes will be up
for grabs. Quest has invited many representatives from major outdoor shops
and manufactures, as well as local shops and leaders from outdoor clubs and
organizations.  

Distances for the race:

Paddling 2-3 mi., down river, no white water

Running 5-7mi, mixed trail and road

Biking 8-10mi, mixed trail and road

The race is at Bloomsburg University and the town of Bloomsburg in
Northeastern PA.  We are about 1 hour south of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and
1.5 hours east of Penn State.
