Hello!  Fall Lake George is fast approaching and as you all know, there
are always fun trips going on all weekend long.  In the past, these
trips have been relatively spur of the moment and unorganized.  This
year, however, we're going to have an organized list of all the trips
going out so that everyone knows what is going on and has the
opportunity to participate in activities with people from other
colleges.

I need your help to do this.  I’m asking at least one person from each
school to lead at least 1 trip over the course of the weekend.  Trips
can be long or short, small or large.  They can be a traditional FLG
activity, like cliff jumping, or something completely new, like mini
golf in Lake George Village.  The only requirement is that it is fun!

When you decide what kind of trip you’re leading, shoot me an e-mail
with your name, school, what you're doing/where you're going, how many
people you can take, and a list of any gear that is necessary for
participants.  I’ll send out an e-mail to everyone who signed up for
FLG on Wednesday night listing all the trips going out, to generate
interest, then take care of sign-ups and such on the island Friday
night and Saturday morning.  So all you have to do is plan ahead and
see me when you arrive on Turtle Island.

Some suggestions for trips include: Cliff Jumping @ Dollar Island,
hiking the First Peak of the Tongue Mountain Range (or anywhere else),
scuba diving, snorkeling, mountain biking, canoeing to various places
for a picnic lunch, swimming, mini-golf, rock climbing, and
slacklining.

See you at FLG!

PS - Transportation via the powerboats can be provided to relatively
close locations, so don't think that you have to canoe everywhere.
Just confirm your transportation needs with Dave (hubeld at rpi.edu)
beforehand.

PPS – Please let me know about your trips by Tuesday September 21st, so
they can be listed on the e-mail going out on Wednesday.

PPPS- Sorry to any ROC members who got this message twice!
